AdminAs part of its nationwide awareness campaign, YAN Sri Lanka conducted a community outreach programme in the Anuradhapura District to educate the public about tobacco industry interference and encourage collective action against its influence.
The initiative was led by the YAN Anuradhapura District Directors, together with a dedicated team of volunteer youth leaders they have mentored and empowered. Through community engagement and awareness activities, the programme highlighted the tactics used by the tobacco industry and the importance of protecting communities especially young people from its harmful influence.
This campaign reflects YAN Sri Lanka’s continued commitment to promoting healthier communities through youth-led action. By equipping young volunteers with the knowledge and leadership skills to educate others, YAN Sri Lanka is creating a network of changemakers who are working together to build a future free from the influence of alcohol and tobacco industries.
Together, we continue to empower youth, inspire community action, and work towards the freedom and happiness of every young person in Sri Lanka.
