Empowering Future Leaders: YAN Sri Lanka Conducts Leadership and Drug Prevention Programme at Kanthale Agrabodhi College

YAN Sri Lanka successfully conducted a one-day Leadership Training Programme and Drug Prevention Awareness Programme for the student leaders of Kanthale Agrabodhi College, following an invitation from the Kanthale Youth Services Council.

The programme was designed to strengthen leadership qualities while equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to make informed, healthy decisions. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, students enhanced their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of preventing alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-related harms.

By combining leadership development with prevention education, the programme encouraged young people to become positive role models within their schools and communities. Participants were inspired to lead with responsibility, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute towards creating safer and stronger communities.
