The intention of having this campaign is to de-glamourize the image of smoking amongst a large population through emphasizing on the connection between the 1st of April and those who still smoke. This campaign was a collaboration project with Alcohol and Drug Information Centre Sri Lanka.
YAN members conducted attractive town campaigns in each districts in a various ways. Some of district members made cakes and display it in town area, with the announcement. As well as some groups created models and taken around the town to aware people and some members showed street drams. And all the members disseminate birthday cards for the people who still smoke.
We reached around 50,000 people through these campaigns and we got free print and electronic media support for publish this message on 1st of April 2021.
